This has been the curse of Nintendo for a long time. I owned N64 which got very little 3rd party support. Wii was supposed to be the same from the developers perspective. Developers had no plan to support Wii. Developers were all set to make PS3 games because they wrongly assumed the PS3 would win this generation too. Over a year for PS3 and it still dead last so the developers go into panic mode and start making Wii games which is hardly a recipe for high quality Wii games. The other part of the Nintendo curse is developers actually have to make top quality games to compete against the strong Nintendo first party titles. It is no surprise the strongest games on Nintendo consoles are made by Nintendo.
